About Us

Welcome, Karibu. Please view all pages and learn more about Jenga’s impactful work in Kenya. You are Welcome!

Salama International Inc., Jenga’s sponsoring agency, has been operating in Kenya under US governance since 2018. Kenya's dedication to promoting inclusive and participatory governance and fostering accountability gave it the precious opportunity to register a Kenyan public benefit organization (nonprofit) in April 2025.

The board of directors consists of Kenyans with firsthand experience living in the country’s poorest county, Kakamega, of the 47, and Americans who are committed to uplifting underserved communities of color, both in Kenya and the US. Jenga shares the gratitude with other registrants to see the fulfillment of yet another of the Kenya Kwanza Administration's pre-election manifesto pledges, namely, the promotion of inclusive and participatory governance, fostering accountability, and welcoming alternative or even critical viewpoints.

Jenga International Services Inc. is an extension of Salama International Inc.’s mission to energize, revitalize, and transform underserved Kenyan communities with community-designed supportive services to improve their quality of living.
